Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a gentle, relaxing type of massage that focuses on promoting overall relaxation and improving circulation. It typically involves long, flowing strokes, kneading, and circular movements on the topmost layers of muscle. The technique is designed to reduce tension, ease muscle stiffness, and help with stress relief.  It’s ideal if you’re looking to unwind or simply enjoy a calming experience.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, using firm pressure and slower strokes to release chronic tension and knots. It’s particularly effective for relieving muscle pain and stiffness.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of therapeutic massage specifically designed to aid athletes or active individuals in preventing and recovering from injuries, improving performance, and enhancing overall muscle function. It typically involves techniques such as deep tissue work, assisted stretching, and Trigger point technique applied to specific muscle groups that are often overworked during physical activity. The massage can focus on areas of tension, help increase blood flow, reduce muscle soreness, and improve flexibility. It’s not just for professional athletes—anyone who exercises regularly or has physically demanding activities can benefit from it.

Dry Cupping

Dry Cupping is a therapy where cups are placed on the skin to create a vacuum, drawing the skin and underlying tissue into the cup. This helps improve blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and promote healing. It’s often used to reduce pain, inflammation, and promote relaxation. The marks left by the cups are typically circular bruises, which fade after a few days.

Hot Stones

Hot Stones Massage involves using smooth, heated stones placed on key points of the body, typically along the spine, hands, or feet. The heat helps to relax muscles, improve circulation, and relieve stress. The therapist may also use the stones to gently massage the body, providing a soothing, therapeutic experience that promotes relaxation and eases muscle tension. It’s often seen as a calming and rejuvenating treatment.

Assisted Stretching

Assisted Stretching involves a therapist guiding and supporting an individual through stretches to improve flexibility, range of motion, and muscle function. The therapist applies controlled pressure to deepen the stretch, ensuring proper technique and helping the patient achieve a more effective stretch than they might on their own. It’s particularly useful for releasing tight muscles, improving mobility, and preventing injury.

Waxing Pre & After care advice

Before waxing
• Your hair needs to be at least 1½ cm long for us to wax successfully. Come and see us every 4-6 weeks and no tweezing, shaving or hair removal creams between appointments, please.
• Avoid using chemical exfoliants (AHA or BHA products) 48 hours prior to waxing.
• No sunbathing, sunbeds or heat treatments for 24 hours beforehand.
• Do not use bath oils or apply heavy body lotions on the day of your treatment.

After waxing
It is quite normal for your skin to look and feel a little irritated immediately after waxing, especially if this is your first treatment. This will subside over the next day or so, but please get in touch if you have any questions.
• Keep your freshly waxed skin clean and avoid heat and friction for 24-48 hours.
• Only take cool baths or showers during this time.
• No vigorous exercise, sport, swimming or gym work.
• Avoid touching, scratching or rubbing the treated area.
• No sexual activity immediately after intimate waxing.
• No sunbathing, sunbeds or self-tanning products until all redness has gone.
• Wear clean, loose-fitting clothing for your comfort.
• Apply a soothing lotion as recommended by your therapist to calm and protect the waxed skin. Ensure you use a sunscreen on any exposed areas.
• Starting a few days after your treatment, use a body scrub, brush or mitt to gently exfoliate your skin 3-4 times a week. Couple with a daily moisturising lotion to help prevent ingrown hairs.

We understand that sometimes things come up and plans may need to change. However, to ensure we can accommodate all our clients, we ask for the following policies:
